Transcendence (Blog 5.5)

The entity sometimes known as Paw Gour had chosen an underground location to call his servant. The twin suns of Dahl struck a cord of harmony with the daemon he found extremely uncomfortable. He waited in the chamber, slightly bemused, until the gate opened and Maltiahs was pulled through. Paw Gour waited for the once-mercenary to shake off the disorientation of planar travel before giving him his instructions. Almost at once, Maltiahs set off upon his metallic legs to Sylba in search of his enemies.

Cilyne did not sleep well, though it was not because of the hotel she was staying in, but because her neighbour was screaming incoherently. Whatever Devo had experienced it was proving to be cataclysmic. When it became sporadic she ordered room service and attempts to help. During the meal Damien calls from somewhere called Golgotha, which he explains is a nexus point on Dahl. They are to meet him there as soon as they can.

They go into the mercantile district of Sylba, where Maltiahs shadows them from the building tops. He watches them exit a store, fawning over freshly bought glasses, and unhooks some small items from his belt. Activating each of them, he begins throwing the grenades around the two. The first plasma explosions begin to detonate as the last of the grenades land between them. Jumping from his perch, he lands near their bodies, and sees that neither of them are moving. From the other side of his belt he removes the zap straps.

They awaken upon tables, each of them clamped hand, foot and wing. They were not out for long, and they both felt the sway of movement. By looking around, they could see that the tables they were bound to were stored in some kind of container, and they were not alone. Paw Gour was speaking to Maltiahs regarding his payment, neither of them paid the prisoners any mind.

Outside the grav-tanker, the Guardians were closing in. Within their integrated cyberscape, nearly fifty Guardians were clearing the area ahead and maintaining a location on the transport. They moved like a tide, while an armed Guardian followed in their wake with an artificial body built to engage targets like the grav-tanker. The driver never saw him coming.

This was a post I found that hadn't been published yet, enjoy! - Ricalope.

Transcendence (Blog 10)

The defense turret spits energy bolts at the escapees as they try to climb the service shaft.  The bolts are of the tempest variety, which cause feedback through the nervous system when they hit.  Those hit by bolts are knocked back down to the field.  They fire back which provokes the turret to broaden its shots into blast shots before being blasted apart.

Near the shuttle bay Rock tries to help the unconscious Kith.  Once back to the ship, Felisce updates Rock about the rest of the party.  Once Kith comes to, they use the Tali to hack into the Nova Invisce.  They find the area on lockdown with many more defense points in-between.  With haste, they reverse the lockdown command.

In the service tube the lights come on.  A single line is illuminated from within the wall running the course of the tunnel, as well as green lights above the hatches on each floor.  They climb faster, some using telekinetic flight.  Mikah locates the correct floor for the shuttle bay, still many floors above them.  The sound of rushing air, below them, begins to amplify.  Within seconds the air around them is like a hurricane forcing them back downward.

As they fall, Cypress gates them into dreamscape.

The Tali explodes with activity.  The party dropped off all sensors and telepathic networks.  Craxxx senses the spoor of Cypress' spell and curses.  Felisce orders the ship to depart.  Kith and Rock work to slow the Nova, then exit the shuttle bay.  Once the ship is decelerating on its own, Craxxx sends Kith and Rock into dreamscape to find the others.

Cypress loses control of the dream, and it shifts from his vision to Waker's Cove.  Still wounded and worn from the Nova, Mikah and Cypress try to rest.  As they fall asleep, they promptly disappear.  The rest of the party proceed down the beach towards a set of docks below a lighthouse.  They search the area, finding the river and then the temple.

Cypress and Mikah awake inside the temple's black stone.  Wandering its depths, Mikah loses track of Cypress but finds another traveler.  The blue robed stranger leads her outside to find the others.  Leaving only one behind, they awake on the Tali.

Transcendence (Blog 9)

In the shuttle bay, Kith scavenged the debris for anything that could be used to repair his ship. Felisce took watch as the repairs were underway while Craxxx did his 'techy' thing in the ship. Tali had only taken minor damage to some directional thrusters and braking systems which were repaired withe ease.

Rock awoke at some point in his quarters. He gets no answer next door, where Zyreal's room is supposed to be, but he does find a strange note. Crumpled twice, it seems to be correspondence between the two, which he crumples and leaves behind. Further searching brings him to the lounge and he begins to seek out someone with metaphysic knowledge. He is referred to the library, where he furthers this research. At some point Ida, his delta sim, registers Craxxx's network signal.

In the brig, Kacy finds Zyreal stunned from forcing his way through the forcefield. With Cypress, Mikah, Alias and Zechs, they exit the brig into the hallways. At the crossway ahead a defense laser extends from the ceiling guarding the elevator. It is met by a phase grenade. Deciding that the elevator is not the safest route, they search for a secondary exit.

The search yields two more turrets, one knocking out Mikah. These are met by more grenades. It becomes obvious that the Nova Invicse is attempting to stop them, it said so at the elevator. Zyreal uses his apple-state-trooper to divine the location of an access shaft. The shaft is sealed off by energy fields, which Kacy begins to disassemble. Ahead, the way is defended by another defense turret.

Kith finishes with his repairs and offers to assist his passengers back to the ship. With Craxxx in telepathic contact with Kacy, Kith joins the psychic net and sets out to join them. Not far outside the shuttle bay he runs into a couple of guards and a guard droid who question him. He teleports away and back again, slicing up the guards with the blades on his tentacles. The guard droid fires upon him, knocking him out.

Behind the guard droid, the elevator opens. Rock, who was on his way to the shuttle bay, is presented with the back-view of a guard droid blocking the hall. Using a magnetic charge, he crushes the droid's interior circuitry, killing it.

Transcendence Cast - Dyscathi, Master of Clans

Dyscathi, to many, is a legend. His name is well known in secret organizations, across Asia, and in myth. His influence has been felt in the highest corporate circles as well as the Clan House of Lords. Dyscathi has moved in the shadows of the upper echelon for ages.

He stands at five feet, and looks of Asian descent. He looks old and frail, but carries himself with a lord-like grace. His long black hair is pulled back into a ponytail which reaches his waist. He is mostly seen wearing a deep crimson robe, a black hat, and sandals. His augmentations are hidden subdermally, most notably a sabretooth laser and a shimmer. He is always seen with his bo-staff, the "ugly stick", made from an unidentified black stone.

Dyscathi's story truly begins with Mi, his sire. Mi had selected Dyscathi to join the undying due to his martial prowess sometime during the neolithic age. The first time Dyscathi is noted in history was during the reign of the Scorpion Kings during the creation of the kingdom of Egypt.

He is next noted as being present during the creation of the clans in the far east. During the Perusian conquests, Dyscathi was prominent in many battles leading the wolf clan's troops against the Greeks. After the rise of Alexander he lived with the Khmer and little is known of him.

Dyscathi appears next during the early 1900's when he joins the Order. He oversees much of the clan's interactions with the growing western world. In the early 2000's he meets Bob, and the two forge an easy agreement between Dyscathi's clans, the wolf and panther, and the beginnings of GIS corp. In AW 01, he and Bob found the Celestius Monarchus, a corporate group dedicated to angelic and infernal research and containment.

During the first few years after the Ice, Dyscathi applied himself to researching the newfound powers unleashed by the War. He forged the Path of the Scorched Heart, the way undying can walk in sunlight. His findings regarding the angelic and daemonic hosts are required reading for the new members of the Celestius Monarchus. Along with Bob and Haemoncilus, the newest combat armour was pioneered, leading to the Slayer series.

Dyscathi's current operations run under Clan or GIS authority, which allow him to work undetected by most. His current research is regarding the mask phenomenon, an odd occurrence when a being is held within a mask, as happens with many of the greater angels and daemons. Of his active teams, only two have yielded any applicable results, Transcendence and Ascendence, and have since been merged.

Dyscathi is very wealthy, having accumulated contacts and wealth over centuries, and has a mansion in nearly every city. He is cordial, the very picture of an ancient sensei, his diplomatic abilities only matched by is skill in martial arts. Although he chooses to operate from a distance, he is always calm in battle regardless of the opponent.

Of the other undying he has sired are Teej and Damien, but not many others. Dyscathi endeavors to keep his lineage simple, carefully selecting those who join his blood-family. He keeps his affairs low-key with a preference to subterfuge. With such a long history, he accepts losses graciously and pushes his teams hard with lavish rewards.

Transcendence Cast - Felisce Annae-Anor

Felisce grew up in the Nightlands, in the towns on the far eastern coast, to a exiled elven house. Annae is Sylvan for 'cast-out', his early years were stained with difficulties. He found the ways of sorcery almost natural and he sought out knowledge of all five talents. Sorcery aided his other passion as a young elf, he was a natural con-artist.

By the time his sister, Celyne, was born he had become both modestly rich and strikingly handsome. As his sister grew he became more responsible, taking it upon himself to watch and protect her, which ultimately brought him to the Fifth.

Felisce prefers to use his magic when opposed, but failing that he favors thin elven blades. He dresses in long flowing silks, which is akin to the traditional dress of his heritage, with some more modern accessories. His cane hides a blade within it and he has acquired a pair of hellfury pistols which he keeps hidden in partial silver rune-scribed plate. His long black hair is always pulled back in a long bound ponytail.

Felisce is also very well known for the wine bottles which he pulls from his sleeves. Every bottle is from the Nightlands, and each is a different kind of elven vintage from all over the blighted realm. Felicse was with Transcendence through Hell, but was last seen being taken by Uriel, an experience he refuses to speak of. He is also involved with Mikah, the incubi dragonspawn, and good friends with Alias.

Transcendence (Blog 8)

Zechs and Felisce met up with Craxxx, Kacy and Alias on the Lunar Plaza. The Nova Invisce was four hour ahead of them, accelerating towards the Belt. In order to catch up with the starship they would need to charter something smaller and faster like an in-system transport. Docked to the Lunar Ring, only one charter vessel was ready to go, the Tali.

Tali was a small but fast in-system ship piloted by a Cephylim named Kith. It was one of the handful of chartered passenger vessels often referred to as 'cabs'. Kith had the job because it provided an opportunity to have a ship of his own (after five Jovian years of service). This group of travelers looked to be mercs, which would likely mean some repairs and good pay.

In the storage bay of the Nova Invisce the stasis field deactivates and two crewmen enter supported by a guard droid. They proceed down the center scanning each crate, a redundant check before inter-system jumps. Mikah runs to a maintenance hatch and wrenches it open. He leaves his bike in the storage bay, but keeps his simdroid, Gat, with him. They make their way to another hatch which leads out into the biosphere, an on-ship park, there he rests.

Elsewhere on board Zyreal seeks out the labs while Cypress goes to the lounge to eat. In the labs, Zyreal fuses two pistols into one multi-shot weapon and tests it out on the range. After this, he goes to rest in a cryochamber. Gat uses the ship's wireless network to help Mikah find the lounge. She also finds Cypress who is fast asleep halfway through his steaks. The ship begins to accelerate faster inching its way towards lightspeed.

Kith notices the other ship accelerating and pushes Tali harder. Gee forces inside the small ship double what the crew is used to, but it is still within tolerable limits. As they approach the larger ship opens communications. Hearing of who wishes aboard, the larger ship invites them into its shuttle bay.

As Kith is making his approach, the Nova Invisce throttles forward which threatens to pull the other ship into its backwash. The Cephylim curses and pulls into the bigger ship which was still accelerating. Tali crash-lands and sinks its landing hooks into the skin of the other vessel. With a outline of a plan, Felicse summons Alias, Kacy and Zechs to the other ship.

The trio is sent to Mikah's location, who is also with Cypress. The two of them were put into the brig when the communication between ships went sour. Alias uses his chronomancy to 'rewind' the energy field keeping them imprisoned. They begin to search the brig, first finding guards they meet with gunfire, explosions and blades. Further down the hall they also find Zyreal, unconscious from successfully breaking through the barrier.

The Nova Invisce hits the smaller ship clinging to it with its short ranged lasers followed by a tow line. Tali is swept alongside as the larger ship continues to increase speed. The smaller ship expresses the danger of accelerating past its stable limits. Kith tries the only option left, he flies the ship into the shuttle bay. The ship breaks through the energy field and into the bay scattering the smaller shuttles aside. With landing hooks extended, the ship comes to a screeching halt at the far end of the bay.

Transcendence (Blog 7)

A cargo truck pulls down the access road beside the Tower of Stars and a shot is fired. The front grav-plate of the truck blows out and it comes to a stop several meters away from the loading bay. Walking up to the truck, Mikah asks the driver if he is in need of help. Staying in the truck he asks what the damage is and curses his answer. He waves Mikah off and tries to park the truck anyway. Zechs fires a second shot and the rear grav-plate explodes. Mikah sends a command to the guard's mind. Entering the loading bay, the truck runs over a railing, and it gets stuck. Stumbling, the guard exits the truck and begins to remove his clothes. His head explodes.

Craxxx arrives at the university in Felisce's dented car where Kaci is perched on top of an unconscious form. They put the body into the trunk and Craxxx tries to update her the best a battery-powered pixie can. Along the way to the Tower off Stars, Craxxx stops to pick up Alias from a coffee shop. The trio enter the building with Craxxx on watch while Alias scanned the wireless bands for signs of the others. This left Kaci to ask around. They found their way to floor 33 and eventually to docking bay 19 which sat empty. Empty-handed, they went to the Lunar Ring's plaza to think things through.

Zyreal wandered the ship, randomly picking floors until reaching the main lounge. While asking directions, he is introduced to Nova, the ship's sim. Reaching the navigation deck, he speaks to the captain and takes a crew placement test. After testing, he is assigned to shuttle operations.

The Nova Invisce sided up beside a passing comet. Cypress, having already taken is placement test, receives his gelsuit who briefs him regarding his first spacewalk. He is to plant several ties into the comet ice while it is cut by others wielding ice-torches. The slabs of ice are taken to the ship, via shuttle, and processed for the upcoming voyage.

In the plaza Alias orders an extra glass of elven wine after a strange phone call. Elsewhere on the Lunar Ring, Zechs encounters Felisce and the two have much to talk about. The griffon tells the elf of what has happened, up to Mikah escorting the package in to the Nova Invisce where he lost contact with him on floor 33.

Transcendence (Blog 6)

Much has happened since the last post, there are old and new victims, and the Cult of the Purple Glove is about to strike.

Argon, who once carried the Mask of Cypres, awoke in the bus as it was filling with water. The bus, with him sleeping within, had been hijacked and steered into the Gorge. The hijacker also carried a bomb, which exploded shortly after Argon's escape. Argon was still within the blast radius and was shredded by shrapnel.

As the bus was entering the Gorge, Zechs and Mikah were under fire in a parking lot. Through the inventive use of grenades and sniping the ambushers either fled or died. With this lead useless, the pair was sent to the Tower of the Stars. The two stolen masks were in that area, according to Damien, stealth was advised.

Hours later, Zyreal and Craxx arrived at the scene, shortly followed by Rock. Rock and Zyreal attempted to collect the pieces of Argon from the syrupy water. With most of his body in a dufflebag in the trunk, the trio drove to the Tower of the Stars to investigate the disappearance of a couple of associates.

Rock and Zyreal found their way inside and located the last known place of the masks through scrying and questioning the lobby staff. It appeared that the masks were cargobound for Docking Bay 19. On the 33rd floor, they were directed to a portal which led to Docking Bay 19. Unknown to them, Docking Bay 19 was located on the Lunar Ring.

Cypress had awoken in yet another strange place, and looking outside through a small window he could see Earth. He questioned a flex screen to find out he was upon the Lunar Ring in orbit around the Moon. Seeking out a cafeteria to find food and make sense things, a man approached him with a job offer, it seemed that he was in the business of transporting cargo, to which Cypress agreed.

Upon his way to the Nova Invisce, a docked starship, Cypress was spotted by Rock and Zyreal. The two of them followed, attempting to catch up, finding themselves also upon the ship. Gravity lessened slightly and they were free of the docking bay.

All this time, Kacy was progressing upon the task of research in UVic. With her task nearly done she is alerted by a van which is missing most of its side. A figure drops out and staggers towards her. Shooting him with a tempest pistol she immobilizes him and calls in for a pick-up.

Visions

Along my travels throughout the Dominions, I sometimes draw pictures of what I see and experience. These are some of those things.
Dantii, as he walks down a village street in Yomi, seconds before all Hell broke loose.
This, or something like it, will become a common sight in the future...
Alice? What are you doing here?
A mid-tech rebreather mask with comms and a targeter.
A ship, sailing softly passed a sunken pyramid, at sunrise.
A skycutter from the Nightlands.
A guy I met sometime in 5 AW.
Another 5th dominion punk, stole my watch!
A dagger-pistol of unknown manufacture.
I hope you enjoyed these glimpses into the Dominions, until next round...

Transcendence (Blog 5)

Upon awakening, Celyne seduces Devo again, feeding her lusthunger. Karyn agrees with Valis to lead them to the city of Sylba, which is centred on their target nexus point. Karyn answers their questions the best she can, it seems the Cyionics use a nexus generator to power the better part of the city and have named this point the Sylba Nexus. Karyn knows very little of other dominions, but attempts to give them useful information about the nexus.

Further along the tunnel-road they begin to see more pyramid clusters as they close in on the city. At this point Karyn informs them of two directions they may take. The first will take them along a direct course into the heart of the city. The second will take them past two temples, and is a longer route. They decide on the second route, as the two temples are in their interest, one of knowledge and the other draconic.

The first temple is devoted to a god named Sirus, a god of knowledge. As they enter, they are approached by a priest bearing a symbol of the Order upon one of his rings, who then leads them to a study room to talk. After they each activate their Eyes of Closing, he answers Celyne's questions about the order upon Dahl. Upon this planet the Order works in secret, the priest gives them addresses of arms dealers and safehouses they operate as well as the authorization codes to an aircraft to take them back to Dahl Prime. During their conversation Dyscathi's name is spoken, this has a profound effect upon the priest, who then exits immediately to "prepare". Questioning him as he leaves, the party learns scraps of information; Dyscathi's name in ancient Dahl texts, his connection to the spread of elves across the realms, Mi being the "Father". With some urgency, they leave the temple.

Further on, they approach an ancient temple carved from the rock itself. What they thought at first to be statues, reveal themselves as dragons, as they bar the great entrance way. Celyne and Valis are not permitted entry, but they are curious about Devo's claim that he is a dragon. They question, taunt, and insult the elven-looking sorcerer and eventually allow him access. Inside, Devo proceeds towards the altar dominating the mass hall. Almost immediately he is bombarded by fireballs of pure darkness. The darkness rips at his mind, as something inside of him pushes him forward.

As he crawls to the base of the altar a voice demands of him, "what is your name?" The first two times he answers his name hesitantly, and is told he is wrong and thrown into the stone walls. The third time he does not answer, and is thrown into the wall. The fourth time he stammers something, unintelligible. The draconic entity lifts Devo so he is facing a bowl of water, "look" he demands. Inside the water, Devo's bloodied face looks back at himself, while the ripples show him the face of a dragon. The water becomes darker, flickering between the two faces, blurring them together. The darkness surrounds his vision, and encompasses his utterly.

Devo's unconcious form slides out of the temple, Celyne, checking that he is ok, finds two minds within Devo. He arises, utter confusion in his thoughts. They continue to Sylba, taking refuge in one of the few boarding houses on the edge of town. As they approach, Valis' netscape form is hugged by Craxxx. It seems that his body is in the same stasis chamber as Valis' and that he had to "sneak" into the netscape in order to hide, it seems the Cyonics are not to friendly to pixies. With the party whole again, and Karyn gone, they rest.

Transcendence (Blog 4)

Celyne decided to go down the same hole that swallowed Devo. She connects with him as he is re-aquainting himself with Cypress' bracers by shooting the walls (which have little effect).in the small room he was deposited into. The two of them travel from one chamber to another, until they get to the room Valis should have been in, he is not found. Inside the chamber, the walls are made from some kind of metal, with a bluish luminescence emitting from the ceiling. There are no signs of life, and no signs of habitation.

Valis becomes conscious, the walls, ceiling and floor of the large room he is in seem to be made of solid blue light. He sends a text message to Devo, and sees it race off as a burst of energy through the walls. Having been in a Dreamscape before, he guesses that this is somewhat the same, and is not far off. He exerts his will upon the floor below him, transforming it into a map of the structure. A pyramid shape, made of light, surrounds him. With more concentration he locates Devo and Celyne, but not his own body. A presence comes into the room with him, a synthetic being, who introduces herself as Karyn. She explains little of the nature of Netscape, and that since his friends have no connection to the network (as Valis does), they will need his help. She is confused by him, finding it strange that he is still partly organic, and promises to meet with him later.

Valis' net-presence finds his companions who are making their way to the central chamber. Through a psychic connection, the three of them are able to converse without problems. The rest of the way is easier, with Valis opening the doors with thought, and they encounter no one until they reach the central chamber. Awaiting them are three individuals, two of them (including Karyn) in Netscape. They question them, asking about their reason for being upon this planet. Seemingly, their answers are correct and the they are taken to a meeting chamber.

They are call themselves Cyonics, a race of simulants living below Dahl Prime, with he majority of their population existing within the Netscape. They confiscate the party's IDs, informing them of the recording devices installed in each of them, pledging to return them when they have been made inert. After the IDs have been taken, the Cyonics inform them of the Dahl's history of enslavement. It seems that they use their knowledge of the Nexus Points to contact, invite, then enslave entire populations. The Cyonics learn of the party's mission to test these same Nexus Points and agree to take them to the nearest one. They travel out of the pyramid structure, into the underground caverns of the Cyonics. Since they are on the outskirts of their city, there are large tunnels connecting the outlining structures. Selecting one of the larger tunnels, they journey toward the city with Karyn as their guide.

Along their route they are attacked by entities that exist both in realspace as well as Netscape. These daemonic creatures launch a number of strikes meant to test the prowess of the party, than attack with force. All the tech-daemons die as the party tears into them. Although victorious, they are tired (and still drained from Devo's previous recuperation botch), so they take rest in a shrine to a mechanical god.

Transcendence (Blog 3)

Valis was awakened by the smell of Dyscathi's tea brewing on a small fire. Dyscathi leads the techpriest out of the temple, and to a laboratory. Already present are Dj Tech and Alias, who are already on the task of invention. They have been requested to modify Dahl technology to make devices to block scrying abilities, and they succeed by the next day. One is given to Valis for himself, and three are given to him to give to his companions. His transport, upon first look, appears to be a dragonfly, but upon closer inspection is a type of helicopter. Sitting in the pilot seat is the outcast pixie, Craxxx. Craxxx, in his fashion, then proceeds to collect scrapes and dents on their way out of the city.

Above the jungle, Cyline and Devo fly towards a mountain range followed from the shadows by a dragon. A storm builds ahead of them, so they adjust altitude to stay above it. The view treats them to a dangerous display of plasma fire dancing below them. The two of them spot the flyer ahead of them, Cyline attempting to contact the pilot with her mind. Craxxx promptly dives into the storm.

Upon the ground, they speak of the mission Dyscathi has given them which is to compare the Terran keystone with what might be the corresponding stone on Dahl. Valis gives each of them an "eye of closing", which he had worked upon in the city. They depart, and not long after Craxxx mangles the helicopter. Luckily, the machine could only hold a single pilot, and no one was hurt (bad).

Tiring of flight, they walk through the jungle, stopping fist due to a herd of insectiod beasts as tall as a man. The thousand of them shake the ground as they run from the predators who soon come into sight. They are called 'grinders' by those who know of them, and run in large packs. Each grinder has one set of legs, a set of clawed arms, and between them appendages which vent bioplasma in tight bursts. The party hides waiting until the herd and its antagonists pass by, but one grinder spots Valis. It begins to attack, digging and blasting armor, which they return in kind. By the time the herd had passed, the grinder lay dead.

Their armor had taken a beating, so they stopped for repairs using the carapace of the vanquished. The techpriest identified several metallic compounds in the creature's shell alone. They decide to rest the night, before which Devo attempts a healing spell to increase the benefits of sleep. Upon awakening mid-day, they realise they have no divine or mystical power, due to Devo's miscast. They travel for four hours, then rest again, travelling for another four hours until they begin looking for another place to rest. They come upon a square clearing in the jungle and make camp. Cyline, low on vitality, seduces Devo (quite easily) to sleep with her. After her first feeding he falls asleep, then in annoyance, does the same.

Awake, Valis spots a watcher across the clearing. Pointing it out, the others don't seem to mind, as long as he does nothing, so Craxxx makes breakfast. They eat their bacon as he drinks from his steaming mug. Cyline makes the attempt to contact him with telepathy, gift is his only reply, and he is gone. She then brings the "gift" to the camp with her telekinesis, Devo grabs them from the air. Cyline sees that they are Cypress' bracers which had been on his corpse. As she approaches, a trap door opens below Devo. Far below the party a great machine begins to cycle up.

Valis communes with the machine, asking it to open the door, but the machine spirit with becomes curious of him and he falls unconscious. Cyline blasts the trap door open, letting Devo out. They look to Valis' body to notice he too has fallen into a trap door. Cyline immediately blasts that door too.

Transcendence (Blog 2)

Celyne and Devo awaken alone under the temple with Mi. The undying child leads them up to the main concourse, during which he informs them that one of the guests who came to Dahl is Paw Gour and to be aware. The two of them search the temple for their patron deities, which leads them to tunnels enveloped in impenetrable shadow. Once through, they find themselves in a dense jungle. Their information scrolls (Dahl technology) informs them that they have "traveled" one third of the way around the planet. Attempts to contact the ambassadors only results with strange conversations with different aliens. Eventually they make their way to a town, continuously followed by draconic beings, and rented faulty transport. The transport dies as they make contact with one of the dragons, who informs them of its intent to follow them. They rest before continuing to the next town.

Transcendence (Blog 1)

On the Dahl homeworld, the party spent their first day consuming what their ambassadors call "gasteral excitement", they got pretty drunk. They were brought to the Great Temple complex built simular to the temple of Ankor-Wat, but on a massive scale. They were lead to the Scribe of Ages, who extracted their experiences (harmlessly and with little effort). Almost immediately afterwards the likes of Craxx (the cyborg-pixie driver) as well as the ambassadors were unfound. After hours of searching, and winding deeper, they began to get close to the centre of the complex. Below the mountanous central pyramid they fall into a web of confusion cast by one of the Angels of Confusion. Not until they devised a plan to escape, something logical and straightforward, did they find the daemon. Celine, Valis and Devo eventually banished it from Dahl and now rest in the chamber, still lost.
